| “Cassie” is a 12 year old Irish Sport Horse mare, ridden and owned by Hilary Bates. Cassie was competed at the FEI 2* and Intermediate level in England prior to coming to California in 2011. With Cassiopeia, Hilary is ranked 5th on the 2012 USEA Leaderboard for Preliminary Master Amateur riders.

“Werzel” is a 12 year old Irish Sport Horse gelding ridden and owned by Hilary Bates. In spite of two colic surgeries over the last three years, Worzel and Hilary have completed 23 Preliminary horse trials over their five year partnership. Werzel has not had an amateur placing lower than 3rd in his last seven consecutive starts.
